Our first night out in Madrid we went on a bar/club crawl - it took us to three bars (free drink at each!) and one night club, Coco. It was so much fun! There were about 50 of us on the crawl, from hostels all over the city and we made a lot of friends! I had the longest conversation I’ve had with any true-blue Brits on the crawl. Obviously, I make my first British “friends” as soon as I leave England…

The next day was just as beautiful as the first, and we decided to wander around Parque de Retiro and the Prado Museum. Parque de Retiro is HUGE and the Prado lies at the entrance. The Prado has a huge selection of classical Italian art - so all the greats painting what they paint best, religious scenes and royalty. I really liked it and probably could have wandered there all day.

For dinner we went to a place called El Tigre. It is pretty hidden and it is full of Americans studying abroad in Madrid. But the deal is, when you order a drink you get a plate of food. So for 6 Euros we all got mojitos/sangrias and a full plate of yummy tapas! It was paradise.

After dinner we headed home to pack and sleep! Our flight to Barcelona was early the next morning. I’ll try to post Barca pictures soon!
